Oxford Hands-On Science (OxHOS) is a new student-run society in Oxford. We take our wide range of hands-on science experiments to a variety of venues, with our enthusiastic student demonstrators explaining what each experiment shows and why it’s interesting!
OxHOS has been set up as a partnership with Cambridge Hands-On Science (CHaOS
), and currently we are sharing resources and experiments. Within the next year, we aim to produce our own experiments so that we are able to run Roadshows in parallel with CHaOS, thus delivering public engagement activities in the sciences to a greater number of people in the UK each year.
We rely entirely on financial support from our sponsors to be able to provide our exciting hands-on science events. We are currently seeking new sponsors for our Roadshow, enabling us to provide interactive science activities to more young people and members of the public.
